🕺🏻 Saturday Night Fever 💃🏻
Whether it’s the throwback disco we play on the weekends, the retro-inspired drinks we pull together, or the outdated term we chose to name our bar, there will always be a love for the 70s at Killjoy.
Take the Manero for instance. Made of Cachaca, Midori, a whole egg, and matcha tea powder, this fluffy disco drink takes its name from John Travolta’s character in the movie, “Saturday Night Fever”. The name “Manero” comes from the Brazilian slang term for “cool” so we thought Cachaca (a unique sugarcane distillate similar to rum) needed to make an appearance. The other main ingredient, Midori, made its US Debut at the very same movie premiere back in 1977.
Stop by and feel the vibe, we’ll be here until the disco ball lights go out.
