We’re excited to announce that our Tuesdays for the Industry series is continuing throughout October! We’ve thoroughly enjoyed getting to highlight both local and nationally known spirits in unique cocktails for you all while doing some good for local bars in our community that unfortunately were forced to shut down due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Each Tuesday night, we offer a special menu consisting of two or three $8 approachable classic cocktails highlighting the spirit of the week, as well as a $6 boilermaker with a shot of the spirit and a pairing of draft beer. For each drink sold from the menu, $1 will go towards the staff of a local bar that has been shut down during coronavirus pandemic-related state closures.
This month, all proceeds will be going towards The Architect, a hip bar in the heart of downtown Raleigh with great cocktails and live music. Our featured spirits for October are as follows:
October 5 – Hendrick’s (featuring standard and Midsummer Solstice)
This delightful gin is distilled in Scotland with refreshing infusions of cucumber and rose. Their Midsummer Solstice gin is a “flirtatiously floral” take on Hendrick’s that’s perfect for those last warm days before winter.
October 13 – Instill Distilling, Clayton NC
Self-described wine nerds and friends Tom, Eric, and Leigh started Instill Distilling in an effort to take a more wine-style approach to the distilling process of their white and spiced rums, bringing depth and complexity to each spirit they create.
October 20 – Lonerider Spirits, Raleigh NC
Started as a Wild West-themed craft brewery, the “outlaws” behind Lonerider expanded into spirits to produce small-batch whiskey that went against the grain.
October 27 – Maker’s Mark
Maker’s Mark’s red wax-sealed square bottles are unmistakable amongst bourbon lovers while a 150-year-old heirloom yeast strain gives the spirit its signature bold taste.
