We had an awesome time popping up at some of our favorite spots in downtown Raleigh on Thursday February 13, 2020. Thanks to everyone who came out to see what Killjoy will be all about!

We started the day strong with our friends at Little City. The featured cocktail was called “ROS” (Rain or Shine) which was fitting because it was raining hard! Zack Thomas whipped up this Killjoy signature cocktail with Cynar, Thai Tea Syrup, and Little City Imperial Stout. Beer lovers, you’re in for a treat with this one.

Our second stop of the day took us down the street to Clockwork. The second cocktail Zack was slinging was called “Baby 81” made with Rye, Lemon Juice, Simple, Apricot Preserves, Mole Bitters, and Sparkling wine.

Finally, it’s five o’clock and we made it to Dram & Draught. Here we had an “Ube Old Fashioned” with Bonded Bourbon, Ube Cordial, and Degroff Pimento Bitters. The bourbon lovers enjoyed this very much!

Next stop – Aunty Betty’s. Here we enjoyed the “Skeleton Key” made with Vodka, Cactus Tonic Syrup, and Soda water.

These went down quickly so we headed to our next stop at Whiskey Kitchen. We ate delicious food while Zack whipped us up the “Manero” made with Midori, Cachaca, and Whole Egg.

We made it back to the old stomping grounds, The Haymaker. “The Luckiest” was our featured cocktail here and it was a hit because who doesn’t love Lucky Charms? This Irish whiskey, Cocchi Americano, Earl Grey Tea, Lemon Juice, Lucky Charms-Infused Half & Half, Sugar drink was not only pretty it was delicious!
Moving on downtown, we packed in Gallo Pelón to try the “Liberty Square”. The riff on a Manhattan is named for a forgotten graveyard in New York and made with DM Vida, Cocchi Torino, Pinch of Salt, and a Femur Bone Rested to top it off.

Our night sadly had to wrap up but we ended with a bang at William & Company! Zack absolutely crushed it at all eight locations and with all eight cocktails. Last but not least we had the “Ponyfeather”. The Ponyfeather is made with horseradish-infused dark rum, pineapple Juice, Lime Juice, Bitters, and Golden Syrup.

We enjoyed every minute of the night. If you were only able to make it to one stop or if you were one of the champs who made it to all eight stops, we thank you! Spring can’t get here soon enough. We are ready to share our passion and host you at Killjoy soon!
